Artist's Description: I happened upon a beautiful snowy egret that was fishing at the Casitas Springs confluence. It stood out against the jungle-like background of thick dark green foliage. The river was fairly still as it was low and there was not a lot of flow. The egret stood immobile, striking the familiar hunting pose, ready at any moment to pounce on whatever food that was unlucky enough to be swimming by.
