Artist's Description: It’s great to have a large expanse of wilderness so close to home. Rose Valley in the Los Padres National Forest is just on the other side of the Topa Topa Mountains from Ojai. Any time of the year it’s great to see what’s blooming, if there’s water in the creeks, what big and little animals may be around. The only clue that this is a winter scene is the trees that are devoid of leaves. No snow on the ground for this year.
