Artist's Description: Though the storm clouds are gathering over Wheeler Gorge, the rain won’t be nearly enough to quell this thirsty land and start the Ventura River flowing. The white “river” shown is the exposed rock bottom. I await the day when we get the multiple inches of rain that will cause the river to swell bringing the water above ground. Instead it’s raining palettes.
