Artist's Description: Whenever I want to easily get away from it all, I go to the Los Padres National Forest which pretty much surrounds the Ojai area. This is the lake at Rose Valley, on the other side of the mountains from Ojai. Lots of bird and critter action and not much of the human kind. The water was pretty low and there were lots of reeds growing in its place. The mountains still had some green showing and everything had a nice glow.
